In order to help contain the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program staff will be working remotely until further notice. Please be advised that it may take longer than usual to receive a response.

If you need to contact the program for any reason, please use the Contact page and a staff member will reply to your email as soon as possible. Patients, caregivers, and dispensaries should also be aware that the offices of the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy will be closed to the general public during this time. Patients and caregivers needing assistance should use the toll-free helpline or the program’s Contact page. Dispensaries should continue to communicate through their assigned compliance agent.

Cultivators, processors, and testing laboratories should continue to communicate through their assigned compliance agent .Many of our staff will be teleworking for the next few weeks in an effort to stop community spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We ask for your patience as we respond to your needs through our remote network. Please try to avoid in-person visits to our offices and connect with us via phone call or email. If it is necessary to contact the MMCP during non-business hours, which means before 8:00AM and after 5:00PM, please call (614) 728-1239. An MMCP representative will be in contact within 24 hours after the licensee provides a detail messaged. This line is for licensed cultivators, processors, and testing laboratories only.

Programs

PROCESSING

The Ohio Department of Commerce is authorized to award up to 40 provisional licenses for processors. To receive a certificate of operation, each provisional licensee will have to comply with all statutory and rule requirements which includes zoning requirements of the locality.

PROVISIONAL LICENSE RECIPIENTS - ROUND 2

It is the department’s intent to award provisional licenses to the 26 top-scoring applicants once all compliance checks, including tax and background checks, are complete. If applicant isn’t able to meet those compliance checks, it will not receive a provisional license and the next top-scoring application will receive a provisional license.

LIST OF MEDICAL MARIJUANA PROCESSOR APPLICANTS

The Ohio Department of Commerce finished accepting processor applications on Friday, December 15th. The Department received 104 processor applications. From these, the Department is authorized to award up to 40 provisional licenses.

MMCP AND THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE RELEASE PROCESSOR APPLICATIONS

The MMCP and the Department of Commerce has released the application and instructions for interested parties seeking to apply for a processor license. Applications will be accepted December 4, 2017 – December 15, 2017.
