Dispensaries

The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy licenses and regulates medical marijuana dispensaries. The current application period for dispensaries is closed. To get updates on new application periods, sign up for updates on the MMCP homepage.

DISPENSARIES WITH CERTIFICATES OF OPERATION

To receive a certificate of operation, each provisional licensee must comply with all statutory and rule requirements. The links below provide information on dispensaries who have received a certificate of operation.

Dispensary Applications - RFA II

* The request for medical marijuana dispensary applications period has ended.

Pursuant to the 2021 Request for Applications and Dispensary Application Instructions and Ohio Adm.Code 3796:6-2-04(G), the Board of Pharmacy may request additional information from applicants or request clarifications, modifications, or amendments to an application, if necessary. The Board hereby instructs all applicants to review their application(s) to confirm the correct District/County (Questions A-5.1 and A-5.2) has been selected for the Business Address of the Proposed Dispensary (Questions A-1.3 through A-1.6). A list of all applications including the identified address and district and a map of all districts is also posted on medicalmarijuana.ohio.gov.

Applicants are instructed to notify the Board at mmcp@pharmacy.ohio.gov on or before Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. EST if a response to the questions listed above requires correction. If the responses do not require correction, no further action is needed by the applicant.

NOTE: Supporting documents attached to the application CANNOT be amended. Applicants may only provide additional information to ensure that the identified address and/or district/county match the location identified in the supporting documents attached to the application. Applicants are not permitted to change the actual location of the proposed dispensary.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE PLACED IN THE DRAWING FOR THE DISTRICT IDENTIFIED IN QUESTION A-5.1. APPLICANTS THAT FAIL TO TAKE CORRECTIVE ACTION TO ENSURE THE BUSINESS ADDRESS OF THE PROPOSED DISPENSARY IS IDENTIFIED IN THE CORRECT DISTRICT WILL BE INELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE A PROVISIONAL DISPENSARY LICENSE REGARDLESS OF RANK ON THE DRAWING LIST.

No further corrections related to locations/districts will be accepted after January 15, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. EST absent express permission from the Board.

The drawings for all eligible applications submitted during the second request for dispensary applications (RFAII) will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022. The drawings will be completed by the Ohio Lottery Commission using a Random Number Generator (RNG), with each application assigned a unique draw identification number.
